Handbook

How should I use email?

Like it may one day be forwarded.

Email and other communication should be professional, relevant and respectful, and reflect both Make® and your own standards.

Before forwarding an email thread, check that earlier correspondence does not include anything irrelevant, inappropriate or meant for fewer eyes.

If you are away due to holiday, leave or other absence, activate an out-of-office reply so clients and partners know when to expect a response and who to contact in the meantime.

Incoming emails are scanned for viruses, spam and harmful files, but stay alert. Avoid suspicious links, do not download attachments from unknown senders, and report anything unusual.

In rare cases, Make® may need access to an employee’s mailbox during absence, for example if an important work-related email cannot otherwise be retrieved.

Clarity creates space

At Make, clarity is about saying what we mean, setting direction and making things understandable – for clients, for teams and for each other. When things make sense, people can focus. And when people can focus, great work happens.

Clarity creates the mental, creative and strategic space for:

  • better work
  • stronger collaboration
  • smarter decisions
  • faster progress

It’s both operational and human.

When things are unclear, energy drains away – people hesitate, second-guess, and work around each other.
Clarity does the opposite. It aligns expectations, reduces friction and makes it easier to move forward together.
