Handbook

What if life interrupts the workday?

Sometimes it does. Ideally with notice, occasionally without.

Doctor’s appointments are part of everyday life, and we encourage you to attend them when needed. Where possible, please place appointments early in the day, late in the day or outside office hours.

Urgent appointments that affect your well-being and need immediate attention, such as acute tooth pain, are treated as sick leave. Routine, non-urgent appointments, such as regular dental visits, optician check-ups or hairdresser appointments, should be scheduled outside office hours.

If you have a child and the child becomes sick, you may take paid leave on the first day of illness until the child turns 15. If it happens during the workday, you are of course free to leave and take care of the situation.

In the event of the loss of a close relative, you are entitled to paid leave on the day of the funeral.

Close relatives include:

- Spouse, partner, or cohabiting partner

- Children and partner’s children

- Siblings

- Parents and parents-in-law

- Grandparents and great-grandparents

If you need additional time or flexibility, speak with Morten, Kristoffer or Helena. We approach these situations with understanding and common sense.

If you need flexibility more generally, align with Morten or Kristoffer.

Clarity creates space

At Make, clarity is about saying what we mean, setting direction and making things understandable – for clients, for teams and for each other. When things make sense, people can focus. And when people can focus, great work happens.

Clarity creates the mental, creative and strategic space for:

  • better work
  • stronger collaboration
  • smarter decisions
  • faster progress

It’s both operational and human.

When things are unclear, energy drains away – people hesitate, second-guess, and work around each other.
Clarity does the opposite. It aligns expectations, reduces friction and makes it easier to move forward together.
