Where do files go to stay alive?

On the Make Server – preferably when you are wired to our local network.

Always work from the Make Server when possible. It works best and most reliably when you are in the office and connected by cable to our local network.

Your desktop may feel safe, but it is mostly just convenient. The server is backed up automatically every night. Your local machine is not.

For structure, naming and where things belong, follow the File Management Guide. Future-you and everyone else will appreciate it.

Clarity creates space

At Make, clarity is about saying what we mean, setting direction and making things understandable – for clients, for teams and for each other. When things make sense, people can focus. And when people can focus, great work happens.

Clarity creates the mental, creative and strategic space for:

  • better work
  • stronger collaboration
  • smarter decisions
  • faster progress

It’s both operational and human.

When things are unclear, energy drains away – people hesitate, second-guess, and work around each other.
Clarity does the opposite. It aligns expectations, reduces friction and makes it easier to move forward together.
