How we work together

We are flat by design and flexible by nature. Titles create clarity around roles and responsibilities. But hierarchy alone does not create good work.

Depending on the project and the situation, you will work closely with different colleagues across teams and disciplines, and we expect everyone to both lead and be led at different times.

That is how we learn. That is how we grow. And usually how the work gets stronger.

Good collaboration depends on people contributing their expertise, staying open to feedback and recognising when it is valuable to involve others.

Different perspectives are not a disruption to the work. They are part of how the work improves.

Great ideas can come from anywhere in the organisation. And ownership is closely connected to the work itself rather than hierarchy.

For this way of working to function well, trust and communication matter. Trust means taking responsibility, keeping people informed and asking for help before things go sideways.

If you are unsure about something, ask. If you need support, reach out. We work best when knowledge, responsibility and dialogue are shared openly across the team.

Great work needs talent. But it usually travels further on trust.

Clarity creates space

At Make, clarity is about saying what we mean, setting direction and making things understandable – for clients, for teams and for each other. When things make sense, people can focus. And when people can focus, great work happens.

Clarity creates the mental, creative and strategic space for:

  • better work
  • stronger collaboration
  • smarter decisions
  • faster progress

It’s both operational and human.

When things are unclear, energy drains away – people hesitate, second-guess, and work around each other.
Clarity does the opposite. It aligns expectations, reduces friction and makes it easier to move forward together.
